Participating in an Exercise

Joining a live tabletop exercise is designed to be frictionless. There is no need to install an app—a modern web browser on your computer, tablet, or phone is all you need.

Joining the Session

1. Open the link: Open the join link or the join page your facilitator shared with you.
2. Room Code: Enter the short room code if asked.
3. Select Role: Choose your role (you will only see roles with open seats, if applicable).
4. Name: Enter the display name others will see. Using your first name and role (e.g., “Sarah - Legal”) is often the most helpful.
5. Lobby: Wait in the lobby until the facilitator starts the session.

During the Exercise

Once the exercise begins, you will see the scenario unfold in real-time.

• Read Injects: Read each inject as it appears on your screen.
• Respond: Answer prompts or votes when they are shown to you.

Your view is streamlined so you can focus on making decisions and coordinating with your team.
